The Timeless Watch Dedicated To The Birthplace Of Tissot Tissot Rock Series
In 2003, in order to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the birth of its brand, Tissot introduced the most automatic Tissot-style watch-the Le Locle automatic series. Its name is derived from the birthplace of Tissot-the small Swiss town of Rock. It is the only watch that uses Tissot’s birthplace as a series name and the most memorable gift dedicated to the 150th anniversary of Tissot. The dial and back of the watch are engraved with the name of Le Tsle, the birthplace of Tissot, in vintage italics. Now, as a new extension of the series, Tissot has equipped this watch with a higher-performance movement, and the Tissot Rockefeller Energy Display Series was born.
Tissot Rock series
The Tissot Locke Energy Display Series is a re-creation of the classic. The entire watch design inspiration comes from the birthplace of the Tissot brand in 1853. The unique design of the dial writes the story behind the watch. The carved, graduated, and hands in the center area are modeled on the large wall clock face around the top of the Lelok Clock Tower. Below is a church dating from the 16th century. The overall design of the watch shows a long sense of history, making people feel like they are in a quiet Swiss town.
The Zylock’s energy display series uses a sapphire crystal glass transparent case back. Through the glass, the rhythmic beauty of the Tissot movement can be seen at a glance. The back cover of the watch is engraved with elegant vintage italics, medieval-style retro patterns and the Tissot logo plate, telling Tissot’s long history and superb craftsmanship.
Automatic mechanical watches can generate energy by swinging their arms and store them in the clockwork. However, ordinary watches do not let the wearer know how much energy in the clockwork can supply the watch for normal operation. The mechanical self-winding movement relies on special mechanical devices to clearly show the remaining energy of the watch through the half-moon-shaped energy display panel at the 6 to 8 o’clock position according to the operation of the gears. The wearer can know the kinetic energy status of the watch at any time, in order to replenish the energy of the love watch in time, which largely avoids the situation that the watch needs to be re-tuned due to energy exhaustion. When the energy scale is full, it means that the watch can run normally for 42 hours without wearing it.
Tissot Rock’s energy display series is equipped with both leather and steel straps, the dial scale is black or ivory Roman numerals. Its design evokes Tissot’s infinite pursuit of automatic movement and low-key elegance. This series of watches was first launched on the occasion of the company’s 150th anniversary celebration, and now an extended version is just to celebrate Tissot’s long-term operation in Le Locle and to pay tribute to those who helped Tissot achieve today’s brilliant achievements.
