The unprecedentedly grand Royal Oak 40th Anniversary Global Touring Tour started in New York, passed through Milan and Paris, landed in Beijing at the end of August, and will arrive in Singapore in October. The world-renowned Audemars Piguet Royal Oak watch was launched in 1972 and is the world’s first luxury sports watch. Audemars Piguet presents the extraordinary timepieces of the 100 Royal Oak series under the elaborate exhibition of artists, including the first Royal Oak watch introduced in 1972, a number of rare complication watches and limited edition watches, high-end watches Watches in jewellery and high-tech materials, private collectors’ collections and the latest models introduced at the 2012 Geneva Watch Fair. In addition, for the first time in this exhibition, a platinum watch engraved with the number ’10/100′ in the Royal Oak Messi Limited Edition will be on display for the first time. In the first half of the year, Audemars Piguet teamed up with brand ambassador football genius Messi to launch a limited edition of 1,000 Royal Oak Messi watches, including stainless steel / tantalum, rose / tantalum and platinum / tantalum. Sebastien Leon Agneessens is the creative mastermind of the overall design of the 40th anniversary exhibition of the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak series. He took inspiration from the Jurassic Valley where the brand was born, and created the installation works ‘Shards’ and ‘ Here and Now ‘: Hundreds of different steel pipe installations on a wooden base surround the entire exhibition area like a pipe organ, reminiscent of the dense forest in the valley area; and the common ore fragments in the valley are turned into showcases, these surfaces are The steel-wrapped wooden polyhedron is divided into several angular fragments, which imply a wonderful fusion of the Royal Oak’s contemporary metallic appearance and the simple roots of the Audemars Piguet brand. Each piece of ‘ore shard’ is a separate display area, leading visitors to explore the origin of the brand, the history of the evolution of the Royal Oak series, and the superb skills of Audemars Piguet. At the exhibition site, in addition to enjoying 100 Royal Oak classic timepieces, visitors also have the opportunity to see their unique skills in front of the ancient dial engraving machine from Audemars Piguet’s workshop.
